More Coverage by Arab Media of LaRouche's Food Initiatives
The leading Bahrain daily {Al-Wasat} has a
very long article on June 2, by LYM member Ali Sharaf on our
mobilization around the FAO conference and the efforts by world
leaders, especially in Africa, to bring the right issues to the
conference.
Also a website dedicated to breaking the siege on the Gaza
Strip published the EIR-Arabic press release on Helga
Zepp-LaRouche's call to the FAO conference.
Another Syrian website, "All4Syria" has published Helga
Zepp-LaRouche's whole article "Humanity Is in Mortal Danger" as
well as the Arabic press release.
On Monday, June 2, as Mubarak was arriving in Rome,
{Al-Ahram} had another article on Mubarak"s and Helga's
proposals, saying that Mubarak has gotten international support,
and they only name Helga and Lyn as the ones whose ideas are
clearly in line with what Mubarak has been proposing. The article
by Abdul-adhim Hamad was reprinted on the Egyptian national
television website.
The article describes the launching of the FAO conference,
where Egypt is represented by President Mubarak, who will take
the call of the Sharm El Sheikh Davos Conference to Rome,
demanding world leaders find solutions to the food and energy
problems.
The article says that the call launched by Mubarak has
received a lot of support from the anti-globalization movements.
The Civil Rights Movement Solidarity (BueSo) party under the
leadership of Helga Zepp-LaRouche and the International LaRouche
movement have made the mobilization for the doubling world food
production one of their most urgent preoccupations. They are
collecting signatures from leading elected officials and heads of
organizations to be presented to the FAO conference in Rome and
are also organizing to change the policies of world trade.
