Habt ihr die Blöße bedeckt, gibt sich die Würde von selbst."

Helga Zepp-LaRouche's Call for Doubling Food Production
Circulates in the Arab World
Helga Zepp-LaRouche's call for doubling food
production globally, is being received widely in the Arab world,
one of the most import-dependent regions of the world.
It has been posted prominently on the website of the Data and
Strategic Studies Center (DASC) in Syria.
It is also the top item
in the Egyptian Alarab News, an opposition political newspaper
and news website.
The statement is also circulating in
international Arabic-language blog and discussion groups.
The Saudi daily, {Asharq Al-Awsat}published a comment by
LaRouche Movement leader Hussein Askary today on its economy
page, on the report about the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's
speech at the May 18 opening of the World Economic Forum (Summer
Davos at Sharm El-Sheikh). {Asharq Al-Awsat}reports, that
Mubarak in his speech called for emergency action, denounced
biofuels and financial speculation in food, and vowed to
personally bring this message to the FAO summit in Rome in June
3-5. In the comment by Askary, he says, that he agrees with President Mubarak and
cited the international campaign launched by German leader Helga
Zepp-LaRouche, demanding exactly these and other points. Askary
lists the demands, made by Zepp-LaRouche: doubling world food
production through: stopping the biofuels from food, banning
speculation in food, putting an end to the WTO free market
insanity, and providing new cheap credit for the development of
infrastructure in developing nations such as water dams, canals,
nuclear power and modern agricultural techniques.
